What we believe
Our beliefs align with those of the wider Anglican Church of Canada. In sum, we are a creedal as well as a prayerful people. We uphold the historic creeds as we have received them in their Trinitarian form, and we believe in the ancient, formative practice of corporate prayer. The sermon at the bottom of this page from Trinity Sunday illustrates well the ethos with which our Dean seeks to lead our ministry.
Our Parish Council has discerned our Cathedral Vision, Mission, and Values as follows:
Our Vision (Why):
To be an inclusive community of hope and faith in downtown Calgary, comforting souls and encouraging spiritual formation through traditional music and liturgy.
Our Mission (What):
As the Mother Church of the diocese of Calgary, we proclaim the Good News, promote love and acceptance, and provide a safe space to serve, build, and nurture a faith-based community.
Our Values (How):
Worship, Serving, Love of God, Faith, Caring for Community, and Leadership
