Sunday Services

On Sunday mornings, the Holy Eucharist (or Mass, Communion or Lord's Supper) is celebrated twice.

The 8:00 a.m. service is a Said Eucharist according to the Book of Common Prayer with a brief homily, typically lasting 35 minutes. Coffee and light refreshments are served after the service in the Narthex.

The 10:30 a.m. service is a Sung Eucharist with full choir and sermon according to the Book of Alternative Services, typically lasting 75 minutes. Coffee and light refreshments are served after the service in the Parish Hall. The Cathedral Choir is on hiatus after evensong on the third Sunday in June until the Sunday after Labour Day. On most Sundays in the summer, music is provided by a soloist drawn from the choir.

The service of Choral Mattins and Sermon replaces the Sung Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. on approximately two Sundays per year.

The service of Choral Evensong is offered at 4:30 p.m. on the third Sunday of every month between September and June, except in December, when the Carol Service takes place on the third Sunday at 7:30 p.m.

All Sunday services are celebrated at the High Altar.
