Sunday Services
On Sunday mornings, the Holy Eucharist (or Mass, Communion or Lord's Supper) is celebrated twice.
The 8:00 a.m. service is a said celebration according to the Book of Common Prayer with a brief homily, typically lasting 35 minutes. Coffee and light refreshments are served after the service in the Narthex.
The 10:30 a.m. service is a Sung Eucharist with full choir and sermon according to the Book of Alternative Services, typically lasting 75 minutes. Coffee and light refreshments are served after the service in the Parish Hall.
The service of Choral Mattins and Sermon replaces the Sung Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. on approximately four Sundays per year.
The service of Choral Evensong is offered at 4:30 p.m. on approximately four Sundays per year.
All Sunday services are celebrated at the High Altar.
Weekday Services
The Holy Eucharist is celebrated on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:15 p.m., typically lasting 25 minutes.
Candlelight Vespers is sung in the Nave of the Cathedral on Thursdays at 6:00 p.m. from October through April. This beautiful, contemplative half-hour service of chant, silence, and candlelight is based on the ancient monastic rite sung at the close of day. Led by the Cathedral Choir, the service is sung in its entirety.
