The Cathedral Church of the Redeemer has openings for both volunteer and paid positions within the cathedral choir.

The regular commitment involves Thursday evening rehearsals (7:30 - 9:30 pm) and Sunday morning services (10:30 am -11:45 am with a 9:30 warm-up); occasional other services such as Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Ordinations etc.

Repertoire includes an eclectic array of anthems, motets and masses of many periods and styles.

Paid individuals will require the necessary skills (both musically and vocally) to competently lead various sections of the choir. Compensation: $40 per call or $80 per week. Prior choral experience is required of paid section leaders as well as volunteers.

Music is vital to worship at the Cathedral. Many notable musicians have been associated with the Cathedral including Gerald Bales, Robert Hunter Bell and Terrence Fullerton, and each have ensured the excellence of music making here. This tradition continues on today. Everyone involved in the musical life of the Cathedral is committed to offering traditional church music and in maintaining as a high a standard as possible.
